When I transitioned to shooting photography professionally, I did a lot of research on which brand to choose. Some of the qualities that I felt differentiated Sony from Cannon or Nikon were their autofocus technology, low light performance, the native & 3rd party lens range, dual card slots, exposure compensation dial and video capabilities. Sony is an industry leader in mirrorless technology, and I have been very pleased with my decision to use their products. I am currently operating a Sony A9 II which is great where I need to have up to 20 frames per second continuous shooting capabilities with full autofocus. Sports and action photography are ideal situations to maximize the capabilities of this camera, but it also allows me to capture a lot of images during walking and dancing shots that can be later narrowed down to find the perfect, candid image. The Sony A9 II also has 24MP (Mega Pixel) full-frame stacked sensor so that printed images will have amazing clarity and intensity
As any professional photographer will tell you, a secondary, back-up camera is a MUST HAVE! For this, I operate a Sony A7 III. I chose this camera because I needed a camera that excelled in both Photography and Videography and produced high quality portraits, headshots, product and real estate images.
